Abba ~ አባ: The name “Abba” means father / HBN, (ማር 14፡36)

The name ‘Abba’ is derived from ‘Aba’ (አባ) ፥ the meaning is ‘father, creator, Senior, higher... ’/ Ibid

The words which uttered by Jesus Christ during his praying, “And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; ...” (Mar 14:36)
Pual teach them to call Abba, “….whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” (Rom 8:15)
“…..the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father” (Gal 4:6)
"Before the child shall have knowledge to cry Abi, Immi" (Isa 8:4)

     አባ ~Abba: አብ፣ ወላጅ (ፈጣሪ) ፣ ትልቅ (በስልጣን፥በኃይል) ፣ አዛውንት (በእድሜ፥በልምድ) ማለት ነው። [ተዛማጅ ስም- አባት]

·         ጌታ ኢየሱስ አባቱን የጠራበት ስም፥ “አባ አባት ሆይ፥ ሁሉ ይቻልሃል፤ ይህችን ጽዋ ከእኔ ውሰድ፤ ነገር ግን አንተ የምትወደው እንጂ እኔ የምወደው አይሁን አለ” (ማር 14፡36)

·         ሐዋርያው ጳውሎስ እግዚአብሔር አምላክን፥ ለሮማውያን  የገለጸበት ስም፥ “አባ አባት ብለን የምንጮኽበትን የልጅነት መንፈስ ተቀበላችሁ እንጂ እንደገና ለፍርሃት የባርነትን መንፈስ አልተቀበላችሁምና።” (ሮሜ 8:15)

ሐዋርያው ጳውሎስ እግዚአብሔር አምላክን፥ ለገላትያ ሰዎች የገለጸበት ስም፥ “ልጆችም ስለ ሆናችሁ እግዚአብሔር አባ አባት ብሎ የሚጮኽ የልጁን መንፈስ በልባችሁ ውስጥ ላከ።” (ገላ 4:6)
