The name ‘Abiel’ is derived from two words ‘Abe’ (አበ) and ‘El’ (ኤል) ፥ the meaning is ‘father the almighty’ / Ibid.

The son of Zeror and father of Ner, who was the grandfather of Saul, Saul's commander-in-chief, “And Kish was the father of Saul; and Ner the father of Abner was the son of Abiel.” (1 Sam 14:51); (1 Sam 9:1)

1.ቢኒያማዊው የቂስ አባት፥ “የሳኦልም አባት ቂስ ነበረ የአበኔርም አባት ኔር የአቢኤል ልጅ ነበረ።” (1 ሳሙ 14፡51)

2.ንጉሥ ዳዊት በዘበኞቹ ላይ የሾመው፥ (1 ዜና 11:32 ፣ 33)
