Shammah ~ ሣማ: Desert, astonishment / EBD, SBD, (ዘፍ 36:13)

The son of Reuel the son of Esau, “And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and ...” (Gen 36:13, 17; 1 Chr 1:37)

Other people with the same name are: The third son of Jesse, and brother of David (1 Sam 16:9; 17:13) Called also Shimea. Shimeah and Shimma; One of the three greatest of David’s mighty men (2 Sam 23:11-17)

ሳማ ~Shamma, Shammah, Shimeah: ስምዓ፣ ሰማ፣ አዳመጠ፣ ተረዳት ማለት ነው።

‘ሰምዓ’ ከሚለው ግስ የመጣ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ ሰባት ሰዎች አሉ።

I.                        ሳማ /Shamma: የጾፋ ልጅ፥ “ሦጋል፥ ቤሪ፥ ይምራ፥ ቤጼር፥ ሆድ፥ሳማ፥ ሰሊሳ፥ ይትራን፥ ብኤራ ነበሩ።” (1 ዜና 7:37)

II.                        ሣማ /Shammah:

1.                  የዔሳው ልጅ የራጉኤል ልጅ፥ (ዘፍ 36:13 ፣ 17)

2.                  የእሴይ ልጅ፣ የዳዊት ወንድም፥ “እሴይም ሣማን አሳለፈው ...” (1 ሳሙ16:9 ፣ 17:13)

3.                  የአጌ ልጅ፥ (2 ሳሙ 23:11-17)

4.                  “ልጅ ኤልያናን፥ አሮዳዊው ሣማ፥ ሒሮዳዊው ኤሊቃ፥” (2 ሳሙ 23:25)

5.                  “የአሳን ልጆች፥ ዮናታን፥ አሮዳዊው ሣማ” (2 ሳሙ 23:33)

III.                        ሣማ /Shimeah: የዳዊት ወንድም፥ “እስራኤልንም በተገዳደረ ጊዜ የዳዊት ወንድም የሣማ ልጅ ዮናታን ገደለው።” (2 ሳሙ21:21)
