Shallum ~ ሰሎም፣ ሴሌም፣ ሺሌም: The name “Shallum” means perfect; agreeable / HBN, (2 ነገ 15:10)

The name ‘Shallum’ is derived from ‘Selam’ (ሰላም) ፥ the meaning is ‘peace’/ Ibid

The fifteenth king of Israel, son of Jabesh, conspired against Zachariah, killed him, and brought the dynasty of Jehu to a close (2 Kin 15:10-14)

ሰሎም ~Shallum: ሰላም፣ ደህንነት፣ ስምምነት፣ እርቅ ማለት ነው። [ተዛማጅ ስሞች- ሰሎሜ፣ ሰሎም፣ ሺሌም]

‘ሰላም’ ከሚለው ቃል የመጣ ስም  ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ አሥራ አራት ሰዎች አሉ።

1.                  የንጉሥ ዳዊት ዘበኛ የነበረ፥ “በረኞችም ሰሎም፥ ዓቁብ፥ ጤልሞን ...” (1 ዜና 9:17)

2.                  በሰማርያ አንድ ወር ያህል የነገሠ፣ የኢያቤስ ልጅ ሰሎም ፥ (2 ነገ 15:10፣ 13)

3.                  የይሁዳ ልጆች ወገን የሆነ፥ የሲስማይ ልጅ፥ ሰሎም፥ (1 ዜና 2:40፣ 41)
