Shabbethai ~ ሳባታይ: Sabbath-born / EBD; the name “Shabbethai” means my rest / HBN, (ነህ 8:7)

The name ‘Shabbethai’ is derived from ‘Sebate’ (ሰባተ) and ‘Yah’ (ያህ) ፥ the meaning is ‘lord of Saba’ / Ibid

A Levite in the time of Ezra, It is apparently the same who with Jeshua and others instructed the people in the knowledge of the law. (Neh 8:7), (Sabbatical), (Ezr 10:15)
