Seraiah ~ ሠራያ: soldier of Jehovah / SBD, (1 ዜና 4:13፣ 14)

The name ‘Seraiah’ is deriven from two root words ‘Sra’ (ሥራ) and ‘Yah’ (ያህ) ፥ The meaning is ‘workers of jehova.’ / Ibid.

The son of Kenaz and brother of Othniel, “And the sons of Kenaz; Othniel, and Seraiah: and the sons of Othniel; Hathath.” (1 Chr 4:13, 14)

 ሠራያ ~Seraiah: ሰራያህ፣ የአምላክ ሰራተኛ፣ የጌታ አገልጋይ፣ የአምላክ ሰራዊት ማለት ነው።

‘ሥራ’ እና ‘ያህ’(ያህዌ ) ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ አሥር ሰዎች አሉ።

1.                  የዮብ አባት፥ የቄኔዝ ልጅ፥ “የቄኔዝም ልጆች ጎቶንያልና ሠራያ ነበሩ። የጎቶንያልም ልጅ ሐታት ነበረ።” (1ዜና 4:13፣ 14)

2.                  የዮሺብያ ልጅ፥ (1 ዜና 4:35)

3.                  የንጉሥ ዳዊት ጸሐፊ የነበረ፥ (2 ሳሙ 8:17)

4.                  በዞደቅያ ዘመን የነበረ ካህን፥ (2 ነገ 25:18, 23)

5.                  የባቢሎንም ንጉሥ ናቡከደነፆር ወደ ባቢሎን ከማረካቸው ምርኮኞች ወደ ኢየሩሳሌምና ወደ ይሁዳ ወደ እየከተማቸው ከተመለሱ የአገር ልጆች፥ (ዕዝ 2:2)

6.                  በነህምያ ዘመን፣ የቃል ኪዳኑ ደብዳቤ  ከፈረሙ ካህናት፥ (ነህ10:2)

7.                  የጸሐፊው የዕዝራ አባት፥ “...በአርጤክስስ መንግሥት ዕዝራ የሠራያ ልጅ፥” (ዕዝ 7:1)

8.                  የቤት መቅደሱ ኃላፊ፥ የኪልቅያስ ልጅ፥ (ነህ 11:11)

9.                  በዮአቂም ዘመን የአባቶች ቤቶች አለቃ፣ ካህን፥ (ነህ 12:1፣ 12)
