Amon ~ አሞን: The name “Amon” means faithful; true / HBN, (1 ነገ 22፡26)

The root word ‘Amon’ is ‘Amene’ (አመነ) ፥ The meaning is ‘faithful, make peace...’/ Ibid

The governor of Samaria in the time of Ahab the prophet Micaiah was committed to his custody; “And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city ...” (1 Kin 22:26)

I.                        አሞን / Ammon: የሎጥ ልጅ፥ “ታናሺቱም ደግሞ ወንድ ልጅ ወለደች ስሙንም፦ የወገኔ ልጅ ስትል አሞን ብላ ጠራችው እርሱም እስከ ዛሬ የአሞናውያን አባት ነው።” (ዘፍ19፡38)

II.                        አሞን / Amon: “የእስራኤልም ንጉሥ። ሚክያስን ውሰዱ፥ ወደ ከተማይቱም አለቃ ወደ አሞን፥ ወደ ንጉሡም ልጅ ወደ ኢዮአስ መልሳችሁ።” (2 ዜና 18:25)፣ (1 ነገ 22፡26)
