The name ‘Baalath’ is derived from ‘Balat’ (ባላት) ፥ the meaning is ‘owners, possesers, lords’, plural form of Baal. / Ibid.

‘በዓል’ ከሚለው ቃል የመጣ የቦታ ስም ነው።

ለዳን ልጆች ነገድ በየወገኖቻቸው የርስታቸው ዳርቻ፥ “አቃሮን፥ ኢልተቄ፥ ገባቶን፥ ባዕላት፥” (ኢያ 19፡44)
