Aven ~ ሄልዮ: The name “Aven” means iniquity; force; riches; sorrow / HBN, (ሕዝ 30፡17)

The name ‘Aven’ is derived from ‘Hiwan’ (ሂዋን) ፥ the meaning is ‘the living’/ Ibid.

“The young men of Aven and of Pi–beseth shall fall by the sword: and these cities shall go into captivity.” (Ezk 30፡17)

Hosea speaks of the "high places of Aven" (Isa 10:8), by which he means Bethel. He also calls it Beth-aven, i.e., "the house of vanity" (Isa 4:15), on account of the golden calves Jeroboam had set up there (1 Kin 12:28)

‘ሂዋነ’ ከሚለው ቃል ከሚለው የተገኘ  ስም ነው።

·                     የሶርያ ሕዝብ የነበረበት አገር፥ “የደማስቆንም መወርወሪያ እሰብራለሁ፥ ተቀማጮችንም ከአዌን ሸለቆ አጠፋለሁ፥ በትር የያዘውንም ከዔደን ቤት አጠፋለሁ የሶርያም ሕዝብ ወደ ቂር ይማረካል፥ ይላል እግዚአብሔር፦” (አሞ 1:5)
