Zedekiah ~ ሴዴቅያስ: righteousness of Jehovah. / EBD, “Zedekiah” means justice of Jehovah / SBD, (2 ነገ 24:18)

The name ‘Zedekiah’ is derived from ‘Tzadiq’ (ጻዲቅ) and ‘Yah’ (ያህ) ፥ the meaning is ‘Jehovah the righteous’ / Ibid.

The last king of Judah and Jerusalem; He was the son of Josiah by his wife Hamutal, and therefore own brother to Jehoahaz, “Zedekiah was twenty and one year old when he began to reign ...” (2 kin 24:18)

The other people with the same name: The son of Maaseiah, a false prophet in Babylon (Jer 29:21,22); The son of Hananiah, one of the princes of Judah in the time of Jeremiah (Jer 38:12)

ሴዴቅያስ ~Zedekiah, Zidkijah: ጸደቀ ያህ፣ ፣ ጽድቀ ዋስ፣ ህያው ጻድቅ፣ እውነተኛ አምላክ፣ የጽድቅ አምላክ ማለት ነው።

Zedekiah, Zidkijah- ‘ጽድቅ’ እና ‘ህያው’ (ዋስ) ከሚሉ ቃላት የመጣ ስም ነው።

በመጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ውስጥ ሴዴቅያስ  ተብሎው የተጠሩ ሶሥት አሉ። ለማገናዘብ እንዲረዳ ቀጥሎ  የቀረቡትን ጥቅሶች ማነጻጸር ይበጃል። 

I.                        ሴዴቅያስ /Zedekiah:

1.                  የባቢሎን ንጉሥ የዮአኪን አጎት ማታንያን፥ ሴዴቅያስ ብሎ ጠራው፥ (2 ነገ 24:18)

2.                  የክንዓና ልጅ፥ (1 ነገ 22:11)

II.                        ሴዴቅያስ /Zidkijah: “ካህኑ፥ ቃልኪዳኑን አትመው አለቆች ሌዋውያን ካህናቶች ከሰጡ አንዱ፥ ካህኑ ሴዴቅያስ፥ “ሴዴቅያስ፥ ሠራያ፥” (ነህ 10:1)
