Zacchaeus ~ ዘኬዎስ: “Zacchaeus” means pure / SBD, (ሉቃ 19:2)

The root words for ‘Zacchaeus’ are ‘Zechy’ (ዘኬ) and ‘Was’ (ዋስ) ፥ the meaning is ‘remembrance of the almighty’/ Ibid.

A chief tax-gather; “And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.” (Luk 19:2)
