Ephraim ~ ኤፍሬም: The name “Ephraim” means fruitful; increasing / HBN, (ዘፍ 41፡52)

The word ‘Ephraim’ is derived from ‘Ye’Friyam’ (የ’ፍሬም) ፥ the root word is ‘Frie’ (ፍሬ) ፥ the meaning is ‘fruitful, multiplied, increased...’ / Ibid

The second son of Joseph, born in Egypt; “And the name of the second called him Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.” (Gen 41:52; 46:20)

ኤፍሬም ~Ephraim: የፍሬያም፣ ፍሬያም፣ ፍርያማ፣ ዘረ ብዙ ማለት ነው።

‘ፍሬያም’ ከሚለው ቃል የመጣ ስም ነው። የስሙ ምንጭ ‘ፍሬ’ የሚለው ቃል ነው።

በግብጽ የተወለደው፣ የዮሴፍ ልጅ፥ “የሁለተኛውንም ስም ኤፍሬም ብሎ ጠራው፥ እንዲህ ሲል፦ እግዚአብሔር በመከራዬ አገር አፈራኝ።” (ዘፍ 41፡52)
