Epher ~ ዔፌር: The name “Epher” means dust; lead / HBN, (ዘፍ 25:4)

The name ‘Epher’ is derived from ‘Afer’ (አፈር) ፥ the meaning is ‘soil’ / Ibid.

One of the sons of Midian, who was Abraham's son by Keturah, “And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch ...” (Gen 25:4)

ዔፌር ~Epher: አፈር፣ ትቢያ፣ አቧራ ማለት ነው።

‘አፈር’ ከሚለው ቃል የመጣ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ ሁለት ሰዎች አሉ።

1.                  የምድያም ልጅ፥ “የምድያምም ልጆች ጌፌር፥ ዔፌር፥ ሄኖኅ፥ አቢዳዕ፥ ኤልዳዓ ናቸው። እነዚህ ሁሉ የኬጡራ ልጆች ናቸው።” (ዘፍ 25:4)

2.                  ከጽኑዓን ኃያላን የታወቁ ሰዎች ከአባቶቻቸው ቤቶች አለቆች የነበረ፥ (1 ዜና 5:24)
