The name ‘Aaron’ is derived from ‘Areyane’ (አረያነ) ፥ the meaning is ‘Exemplary, role model, teacher…’ / Ibid.

The son of Amram and Jochebed, and the older brother of Moses and Miriam, “...and he said, is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? ...” (Ex 4:14)
