Cush ~ ኩሽ: The name “Cush” means Cushi, Ethiopians; blackness / HBN, (ዘፍ 10፡8)

The name ‘Cush’ is derived from ‘Kash’ (ካሽ፣ ካሳ) ፥ the meaning is ‘compensator’/ Ibid.

The name of a son of Ham, apparently the eldest, and of a territory or territories occupied by his descendants; “And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.” (Gen 10:8)

ከሦስቱ የኖህ ልጆች፣ የካም ልጅ፥ “የካምም ልጆች ኩሽ፥ ምጽራይም፥ ፉጥ፥ ከነዓን ናቸው።” (ዘፍ10:6) ፣ “ኩሽም ናምሩድን ወለደ ...” (ዘፍ 10፡8)
