Sherebiah ~ ሰራብያ: flame of the Lord / EBD, (ነህ 8:7)

The name ‘Sherebiah’ is derived from the root word ‘Cher’ (ቸር)፣ ‘Ab’ (አብ) and ‘Yah’ (ያህ) ፥ the meaning is ‘heard by the almighty’ / Ibid.

A Levite in the time of Ezra, “Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah ... stood in their place.” (Neh 8:7)

Sherebiah- ‘ቸር’ ፣ ‘አብ’ እና ‘ያህ’ (ህያው) ከሚሉ ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

ዕዝራ እና  ነህምያህ በአደረጉት አገልግሎት ስሙ አብሮ  የሚጠቀስ ካህን፥ “በላያችንም መልካም በሆነው በአምላካችን እጅ ከእስራኤል ልጅ ... አስተዋይ ሰው ሰራብያን፥ ...” (ዕዝ 8: 18፣ 24-30፣ ነኅ 9:4፣ 5፣ 10:12)

Shemuel ~ ሰላሚኤል: “Shemuel” means heard by God / SBD, (ዘኁ 34:20)

The name ‘Shemuel’ is derived from the root word ‘Sema’ (ሰማ) and ‘El’ (ኤል) ፥ the meaning is ‘heard by the almighty’ / Ibid.
