The name ‘Jecamiah’ is derived from ‘Yaqn’ (ያቅም) and ‘Yah’ (ያህ) ፥ the meaning is ‘whom Jehovah gathers’ / Ibid.

One of seven who were introduced into the royal line, on the failure of it in the person of Jehoiachin, “Malchiram also, and Pedaiah, and Shenazar, Jecamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah” (1 Chr 3:18)

‘ያቆመ’ እና ‘ያህ’(ያህዌ፣ ህያው) ከሚሉ ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።
