Baali ~ ባሌ: The name “Baali” means my idol; lord over me / HBN, (ሆሴ 2፡16-18)

The name ‘Baali’ is derived from ‘Bealie’ (ባሌ) ፥ the meaning is ‘my lord, my husband’ / Ibid.

A title the prophet, “And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.” (Hos 2:16-18)

ስለ እስራኤል በተነገረ ትንቢት፥ “በዚያ ቀን ባሌ ብለሽ ትጠሪኛለሽ እንጂ ዳግመኛ በኣሌ ብለሽ አትጠሪኝም፥ ይላል እግዚአብሔር” (ሆሴ 2፡16-18)

Baal-hanan ~ በኣልሐና: lord of grace / EBN, (ዘፍ 36፡38፣ 39)

The root words for ‘Baalhanan’ are ‘Bal’ (ባል) and ‘Hana’ (ሐና)፥ The meaning is ‘lord of Hana’/ Ibid.

A king of Edom, son of Achbor; “And Saul died and Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead,” (Gen 36:38, 39); (1 Chr 1:49, 50)

The other person with the same name: An overseer of "the olive trees and sycomore trees in the low plains" (the Shephelah) under David (1 Ch 27:28)

በኣልሐና ~Baal-hanan: በዓለ ሃና፣ የሐና በዓል፣ የሐና ጌታ፣ የክብር ጌታ፣ ክብረ በዓል ማለት ነው።

‘ባል’ እና ‘ሐና’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ ሁለት ሰዎች አሉ።

1.                  በእስራኤል ልጆች ላይ ንጉሥ ከመኖሩ በፊት በኤዶም አገር ከነገሡ ነገሥታት አንዱ፥ የዓክቦር ልጅ፥ “ሳኦልም ሞተ፥ በስፍራውም የዓክቦር ልጅ በኣልሐናን ነገሠ።” (ዘፍ 36፡38፣39)

2.                  የእስራኤልም ልጆች የአባቶች ቤቶች አለቆችና የሺህ አለቆች የመቶ አለቆችም በክፍሎች ነገር ሁሉ ንጉሡን ያገለገሉት ሹማምት፥ በወይራውና በሾላው ዛፎች ላይ ሹም የነበረ፥ (1 ዜና 27:28)
